This Pub is Permanently Closed

Here was an elegant, comfortably furnished, backstreet retreat with a conservatory and covered yard to the side, handy for the Oval cricket ground, with Timothy Taylor Landlord a regular along with two changing guest beers; good quality food, board games available and a Thursday quiz night.

Punch bought the last tenant out of his lease on 21 November 2015. The building has now been sold to prospective developers, and is, we understand, awaiting planning permission for demolition and/or redevelopment.

Its licensed days are regretfully over.
