This Pub is Permanently Closed

Renamed Goose Island Tap House in 2018 (after opening on Christmas Eve 2016 in former ‘Be At One’ bar as the first of an AB InBev ‘brand experience division’ of ‘Vintage Ale House’ bars), this had a welcoming, uncluttered ambience. No cask beer but four keg beers below 5% ABV, plus six barrel-aged strong sour beers in 765ml bottles (£18 to £23 each, or three third-pint samples for £10) from Chicago’s Goose Island brewery, which was taken over in 2011 by the global corporation.

But the place was closed and abandoned only months later, the front patio progressively becoming a tip. Not any more. The Mexican cantina now looks good (September 2020).
