This traditional local has been updated and the main bar is now open and airy with plenty of tables and chairs and a wood burner. Arkell’s 3B is always available together with another of the regular Arkell’s range and Arkell’s seasonal beers. Meals are served 12-2.30 and 6-9.30. Birthdays, engagements and similar events can be catered for in the Fox's Den dining room. Eight en-suite rooms are available. In the summer there is an outside bar and marquee. Live music on Friday evenings.
Historic Interest
Started life as two cottages, which were converted to a beerhouse by 1866. The beerhouse was known locally as The Drum and Monkey before it burnt down in the mid 1860s.
