This Pub is Permanently Closed

Traditional island bar and some fine coloured panels and stained glass windows were to be seen in this city centre bar.

After a tragic fire in a top floor flat in June 2025, the entire building and block have now been completely demolished to ground level. It is reported that materials from the pub have been preserved, including The Royal Bar's stained-glass windows, and may now be in the care of Scottish Heritage.

Historic Interest

C Listed - with demolition complete, the stained glass windows are believed to be in the care of Scottish Heritage.
