This Pub is Closed Long Term

Community Buy Out being considered!.

Pleasant, remote pub with a friendly welcome. Although essentially one room, a large fireplace effectively divides the pub into two spaces. There is a regular quiz night. Guest ales are from the south west and much of the food is also locally produced. There are meal deals at the lunchtime and evening sessions on weekdays. This pub plays a full part in the life of the village.

Active Campaign

A group of villagers from Curry Mallet and Beercrocombe near Taunton are campaigning to buy their pub. The pub closed in March 2025. Following an initial meeting where there was enthusiastic support to save the pub, nearly half the amount needed was pledged in the first month. A Community Benefit Society, the ‘Curry Mallet and Beercrocombe Community Pub Limited’, has been registered. On 1st September 2025 a share offer was formally launched.
