Restaurant with separate bar
Reopened 8th December 2021 under new managment of Burwood Inns Ltd following renovation work, which is continuing. there is a new kitchen and bar area with two dining areas. Customers are welcome to drink in the bar.
Historic Interest
In the Ipswich Journal on Jan 11th 1800 is listed: "Auction for The Blue Boar, Oulton.....being a good road house consisting of 2 parlours, kitchen & a good cellar & several other useful rooms, barn & double stable with other necessary buildings, together with about 3 acres, more or less, garden ground, well planted with choice fruit trees in the occupation of Mr HENRY ELY, under a lease to T.FARR Esq, Beccles of which 11 years are unexpired. Was a brewpub for a few years in mid-1990s (house beers then included Welder's Armpit & Pheasant Plucker).
