Attractive looking pub on a raised level above the pavement level. It is designed on traditional lines with a public bar, lounge and sports room at the rear. Behind the old leaded windows the public bar is quite cosy with a small fireplace and displays football memorabilia, primarily, and understandably, that of the Bluebirds of Cardiff City FC. This room gives access to the sports room which has a skittles alley and pool table. Skittles remains a popular sport in Cardiff and immediate surrounds with men’s and women’s leagues. The lounge typically offers more comfortable surroundings. The outside drinking area at the front enables customers to watch the world go by on the busy Merthyr Road.
