Historic Interest
The Marine Hotel dates back to at least 1845, became the Royal Marine hotel by 1864 (see advert), changed its name to the Grand Hotel in 1930 and later was also known as the Anchorage. In the 1980s it was a free house serving Wilsons. It closed in 1996 following a fire. Building demolished.
