Large and well decorated in a modern style but with comforts such as gas fires during the colder months it still maintains a comfortable warm welcoming feel. This Ember Inn has done much for the community providing 8 handpumps offering 3 regulars and 5 guests. Good food and a wonderful garden area popular in summer. Often busy at weekends. The black & white photo shows the pub in 1986.

Old farmhouse, Ashmount Farm, converted and opened as a pub in 1981, originally a free house.
