This Pub is Permanently Closed

The former clubhouse for the local colliery, it was turned into a pub named the jewel in the Crown. Subsequently this was converted into an Indian Restaurant before being demolished to make way for housing. Date of closure is uncertain - it was certainly trading as a restaurant by 2010.
