There are records of this old drover’s inn dating back to 1626. Drovers would stop for refreshments for man and beast before driving their livestock over Llanllwni Mountain on their way to markets over the border. Though sympathetically modernised, Y Talardd still offers a traditional warm and friendly welcome.

Under new management June 2023.

There is a snack bar attached to the side of the building which is open from Tuesday to Friday 9am- 3pm and on a Saturday from 9am until the bar opens at 12pm.
