Attractive 17th century country pub in the centre of the village. Steps up to the front door. The brick-faced main bar faces you when you enter. It sits on a red and cream tiled floor. Exposed ceiling and wall beams. To the left is a spacious dining area, to the right a cosy public bar with open fire and TV. The village's two churches in one churchyard can been seen from high-level enclosed rear garden.
Four handpumps offer Batemans beers, including Two Churches housebeer, and Timothy Taylor's Landlord. Home cooked, simple but tasty food is available at most sessions. Occasional live music. Open Monday evenings only in summer months.
The Red Lion reopened under new tenants in mid October 2023.
