Quintessential village pub saved from closure by a group of villagers, now privately owned. The interior has a cosy food-free tap room and a larger dining area as well as an upstairs dining room. Food vans on Wednesday evening. Fish & chips on Friday evening. Soup & sandwiches on Saturday lunchtime with home cooked pies in the evening. Sunday roasts.
Photos and art of local interest adorn the walls. The front garden overlooks the village green where the Reach Fair takes place on the early May bank holiday Monday. There's also a rear beer garden with fruit trees. The Dyke's End is open for Reach Fair.
Its cask ales are sourced from small and medium sized regional breweries, sometimes including the nearby Moonshine Brewery.
