This Pub is Permanently Closed
Enterprising village pub where there is always something going on. The single bar has three distinct sections - a games area with pool table at one end, a section in the middle with tiled floor, open fire and the main bar counter and, nearest the main entrance a further area with bare boarded floor, walls partly bare brick, a small dining alcove, part-glazed screens and the dartboard. Food consists of pizzas and pub grub including burgers from renowned local butchers, Barkers of Great Shelford. Discounts for CAMRA members of 20p a pint, 10p a half. Received maximum points in Greene King's cellar survey early in 2014. The Pemberton Arms is 1 of 275 pubs purchased in June 2014 from Greene King by Hawthorn Leisure. Beer supplies now come via Matthew Clark.
Closed in November 2015. Villagers were unable to purchase it. In May 2018 planning permission was granted to convert it to a convenience store with flats above.
