Pub is near the centre of town near all the facilities Shifnal is noted for; takeaways, pubs and restaurants. Previously owned by Woods Brewery, The Crown is now independently owned.

It has a large room at front with a central bar up a step. This, and the lack of suitable toilets, make it unsuitable for wheelchairs. There is a large room at the back of the bar and an entrance to a suntrap lounge with a covered area, and also a side entrance from the street. TNT and Sky Sports are shown on TVs in the front and back bar. Live music is staged on the first Friday of the month.

It serves constantly changing cask ales from local brewers, Enville, Ludlow, Wye Valley, Bewdley and Three Tuns.
