Re-opened October 2018 after extensive refurbishment by new owners, Black Country Ales, and thoroughly brought up to date with sheltered courtyard, astro-turf and modern toilets including disabled. There is a municipal car park nearby.
The pub interior has been traditionally brought up to date with clean lines and homely upholstery. The original fireplace has been retained and features log and coal fires on cold winter nights. The dart board is in an enclosed booth.
The bar has 10 hand-pulls, 3 devoted to Black Country Ales, five for guests and two for real cider. Generous bar snacks are available and there are Chinese and Indian takeaway evenings each week.
Dogs are allowed. Accommodation is available next door (no connection with Black Country Ales). There is municipal free parking 150m away. The easiest route from the railway is through the station car park.
