This gem of a country pub nestles on the west bank of the River Severn. It has a small front parlour with a huge built-in settle and a pair of antique settles adorn the cosy back room. Rush mats, houseplants and fresh flowers enhance the pub. Shove-ha'penny, dominoes and cribbage are played. The ever-changing range of guest beers, mainly from local micros, are served direct from the cask (up to 10 available) with up to 20 real ciders. Hot basket meals and locally produced burgers a speciality. The courtyard is ablaze with flower tubs and there are seats and tables under cover for cooler days. The pub is a frequent CAMRA award-winner. The pub has its own mooring for river visitors. Five minutes walk from a bus route. Watch out for their beer festivals. Wet dog and muddy-boot friendly. Winter opening times differ from summer, so please check their Facebook page.
