Previous pub description follows:
During 2006 the pub closed for a thorough refurbishment, and then changed tenants with yet another change in decor and a resultant loss in cask beer. It occupies an impressive street corner site with some Bass Charrington signs indicating the former, long-gone owners. Closed again for a period but now seems to comprise a bar on the ground floor with a hostel providing very budget accommodation above. Closed again in November 2014 for conversion of upper floors to residential, supposedly retaining bar at ground floor. Marylebone closest tube/station but Edgware Rd not too far either.
