This site has now morphed into hostel accommodation with the ground-floor operating as a lounge/bar for residents, but still open to the public as a "pub". No cask ale but half-a-dozen keg beers are available. One large TV screen for free-to-air channels. Unisex WCs.
At date of writing a copy of the Kipling poem If is prominently displayed in the bar, a poem offering young people the Victorian vision of the ideal values and virtues to be embraced in life.
