Sports fans making the short walk north of the town centre will be rewarded here with a large area devoted to pool and darts and with televisions showing all major sporting events spaced around the pub. However there is also comfortable seating around a fine log-burning stove and a large patio and garden to the rear for those simply seeking conversation. There are regular quizzes and live music evenings and burgers and pizzas are served Wednesday to Friday evenings and weekends.
