Formerly the Royston Hall, this was once the home of Peggy Spencer's famous dance studio for latin and ballroom dancing. Later becoming a popular social club, this closed in June 2018. In 2021, this was completely renovated with three different dance spaces all within the same building and is now owned by the Matico Dance Studio for ballroom dancing and zumba: https://www.maticodancestudio.com

Historic Interest

Royston Hall has a strong association with Frank and Peggy Spencer's famous dance school until Peggy retired in the 1990s (they lived around the corner in Percy Road). The Royston Ballroom was famous worldwide (also known as the "Penge Palais").
