Formerly a Loch Fyne seafood restaurant, now converted to a food-led pub. Externally it is reminiscent of an American wooden building. Inside is a spacious open layout with an upper gallery which has a mural depicting the history of Cowbridge at one end. The outside areas are attractive with a choice of verandah and a patio for drinkers and diners. There are good views over the Glamorgan hills but the traffic noise from the adjacent A48 can sometimes be intrusive when outside. The pub's name comes from the nearby hill where reputedly a battle took place around 1403 in which Owain Glyndŵr defeated an English army during his Welsh Revolt.
