This Pub is Closed Long Term

Having ended life as a pub and becoming a restaurant in the mid 1990's the former Traherne Arms has been superbly refurbished and reopened in October 2016. The whole building features original stone walls dating from at least the mid 17th century, when it was known as the Tumbledown Dick Inn, the name change to the Traherne Arms took place in the early 19th century and was named after a high ranking local family. There are 3 rooms, 2 for dining and a beautiful bar with a wood burner, the seating is so comfortable that you may struggle to leave.

Historic Interest

Richard Cromwell got his nickname of Tumbledown Dick after falling off his horse here
