This Pub is Closed Long Term
Built in 1965 as the Red House to plans by architect Bertram Butler it opened to the public on11th June 1965. A larger replacement of the original pub dating back to 1872 which was demolished as part of the redevelopment of the area. Permission was granted for a small building to be built on part of the land for use as the pub during the rebuilding. Originally two separate rooms these were opened out in 2007 during a refurbishment. In November 2009 after a change of ownership it was renamed the Golden Glassy.
