This Pub is Closed Long Term

On 28 April 2025, notice of the closure of this pub was posted on its Facebook page. The current situation and future of this pub is to be confirmed. When visited on 05 Aug 2025, the pub remained closed with a sign indicating a tenancy opportunity.

Pleasant rural inn on the Ebor Way at the crest of a steep hill on Otley Chevin giving panoramic views over the Wharfe valley. This pub was converted from a farmhouse in the 18th Century and the country atmosphere is enhanced by many pictures depicting rural scenes. One regular cask beer is offered. The pub is known in the area for the quality of its food, including traditional Sunday roasts, and there is capacity for up to 42 diners. Locally sourced, seasonal produce is served, including game when available.
