Enlarged main road pub with light, airy extension. Comfortably furnished, catering for families, diners and drinkers as well as pool (free on Mondays) and darts players. Good value food every day from 12-9pm. Two to four ales often include Greene King specials and sometimes one or two good quality guests from far and wide. Sports TV fans tend to use the north side of the pub leaving plenty of space for those who prefer a quiet drink although TVs are present throughout. 10% discount on ales every Thursday, plus a loyalty card offers every sixth pint free. Quiz night on Tuesdays. May close a little early if quiet. A new two-sided shelter offers pleasant alternative outdoor seating. There are four electric vehicle charging points. Much effort is put into fundraising for Macmillan including dog meals and various items for sale.
