Standout and attractive half-timbered and brick frontage. The pub is quite small, with trademark Sam Smith's wood interior. Front and rear bars with dartboard in rear bar and lounge bar upstairs. No real ale available. Decades ago the pub was nicknamed the Burglars' Rest after a gang broke in, drank themselves into a stupor and fell asleep still in the pub.
