This Pub is Permanently Closed

For a time run by the Mean Fiddler group, it then became a music club, it has now been gutted internally but the facade remains. Application to demolish made 25 July 2014 and refused a month later! A subsequent application was made in September. Demolished this year (2015) having been closed since at least 02. It's a hole in the ground.

Historic Interest

Local Listing:- Detached mid-19th Century Victorian Gin Palace, three storeys with extensive single storey projections to street, stuccoed with balustrade parapet. Upper floors stock brick with stucco quoins, dressings to windows and heavy dentilled cornice.
