A US-themed bar and restaurant with with four screens in the main griund floor bar, and two below and seats at the bar. It's a small, narrow space with two rooms, the bar is in the first which leads on into the slightly smaller back room, with a bar and more room down below.
Six keg taps on the main bar counter - in early June 2026 featuring Protest Colonial Lager, Ambrooks Lazarus nitro stiut, Paasyunk Pale (brewed by Sambrooks), Yunkling Philadelphia Lager, Dennis Hopp'r Mondo IPA, and Gold Digger Colonial Golden Ale, and a small packaged beer list.
Anyone for Pabst Blue Ribbon, beer of the blue collar worker at one time. While food is important, of an afternoon and an evening much of the customer-base, local and visitor, is just having a good drink. There's nothing quite like the legendary Schmitter though there is a full.menu and the legendary Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Diners may be favoured at the tables but you may be abke grab a seat at the bar though they too may be reserved.
From their website. "You may wonder about our name - it’s a Native-American word meaning “place between the hills” and it’s the Main Street that runs through the heart of South Philadelphia. It links our company back to our South Philly roots and it reminds us why we started our business - to share the values of Philadelphia - the City of Brotherly Love - with the people of London."
A great little local, what they'd call Stateside a neighborhood, bar, with a warm and welcoming vibe. You would not call it a Sports Bar though of course if they do show sport they major on the Phillies (major league baseball).
