Attractive inn on market square offering a good range of local beers, but also popular with diners, especially for its excellent Sunday carvery. The front of the pub has two open rooms aimed mainly at customers wanting food. Further back lies the cosy bar generally used by local drinkers, with an adjacent snug. Has a good sized external area at the rear as well as tables at the front facing the square. Although closed on Mondays, it is still open to residents.
Warning: out of season many pubs in the branch area may close early if they have no customers in.
