Situated near Castle Howard in the Howardian Hills area of natural beauty, this village inn was very sympathetically refurbished by Provenance Inns in 2013. It retains many original features and its multi room layout. There is a wooden-floored bar, three separate dining areas, a private dining area and lounge and a large garden terrace at the rear. The name was changed from The Ship to the Crown and Cushion in 1850 as this was the emblem on the Queen's train when she visited Castle Howard that year.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
