Joules took over the pub in October 2020 after a disastrous fire.

Comfortable, modernised pub with several cosy rooms. A former coaching inn opposite Madeley Pool, it offers pub food and space for drinkers.

There is a pleasant beer garden, and the Newcastle to Crewe bus (D&G 85) stops right outside.
