The Pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Walkers Bitter and Tetley Mild (H), TV, Juke Box, darts, dominoes, pool, snacks. Hard to get to by car, but well worth the walk. In October 1978 a list provided by Tetley Walker confirmed that it was selling Walkers Bitter. A Branch Social was held here on April 11th 1979 and visited on a pub crawl on December 21st the same year. It was listed in the selective 1980 Greater Manchester Beer Guide. Branch Meetings were held here on November 4th 1980 and January 6th 1981 On March 16th 1981 this Tetley pub closed, prior to this it sold Tetley Mild and Bitter (H). The landlord moved to the nearby Falcon which itself did not last much longer. The pub was included in a Lost Locals article in Spring 1994.
