Globe Inn, Bolton

The Pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Wilsons Bitter and Mild (H), with TV, Juke Box, darts and dominoes. In April 1977 it was also listed in Geoff Breakwells article on Bolton pubs as a good Wilsons pub to visit. On November 16th 1979 a pub crawl ended here. It was included in both the 1980 and 1985 selective Greater Manchester Beer Guides. In May 1981 this was a Wilsons pub selling Mild and Bitter (H). On March 8th 1981 a Sunday Lunchtime Pub Cawl visited here, none of the pubs visited that day can be visited now. The next time a pub crawl visited was on December 11th 1986. The Pub was included in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as selling Wilsons Mild and Bitter (H). It was listed in the Good Beer Guide from 1979 to 1981 and again in 1990. In the 1992 Great North Western Beer Festival programme it was listed as selling Wilsons Original Bitter and you were warned about the staff trying to sell you keg Websters Yorkshire bitter instead. It closed around 2002.
