The Pub was listed in the Good Beer Guide in 1974, 1983 and 1984. The Pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Wilsons Mild and Bitter (E), Juke Box, snacks and handy for the Labour Exchange! A social was held here in May 14th 1979 and on June 12th at the Branch Meeting the JW Lees Head Brewer was a guest speaker here, he couldn't speak at a JW Lees pub as the Lodge Bank Tavern wouldn't reopen until October 1980. In May 1981 this was a Wilsons pub selling Mild and Bitter (E). The pub hosted many Branch meetings including February 5th, August 5th and October 7th 1980. The pub was included in the 1980 selective Greater Manchester Beer Guide. In 1981 the AGM was held here on November 18th. In 1982 another Branch Meetings was on July 7th, followed in 1983 with January 5th, April 6th and October 26th, July 10th 1985 with the AGM on November 13th. In 1984 the North Manchester Branch held their 10 year celebration here on March 21st. In between the Branch Meetings the pub was used for Beer Festival meetings on July 20th and August 17th 1983. Pub Crawls also visited or were suggested in April 1980, April 23rd 1981, April 1982, 5th November 1982, In March 1985 the pub was to be refurbished and this included some fittings from a club in Royton. In 1986 the January 8th Branch Meeting was held here and in February there was an article about the pub. By April 1986 the pub had been refurbished and a Branch Meeting was held here on June 4th, however by September it was noted that the Mild was no longer available. The AGM was held here again on November 12th 1986. In 1987 the First Great Western Beer Festival meeting was held here on March 24th and in Aptil it was included in the festival town centre pub crawl. For 1988 a Branch Meeting was held here on May 10th and in 1989 on January 10th and September 12th. For 1990 there was a Branch Meeting on October 4th and the AGM on November 8th. In the 1992 Great North Western Beer Festival Programme it was listed as selling Websters Yorkshire Bitter, Ruddles Bitter and Boddingtons Bitter. On 15/06/83 the Mild was 54p and the Bitter 57p, but by 14/09/83 Mild was 56p and the Bitter 58p. In December 1993 the pub was noted as closed awaiting a new licensee. However by Autumn 1994 the pub was not always open, but the To Let sign had gone.
