Historic Interest

In May 1981 this was a Greenall Whitley Keg pub called Four Gates. In January 1983 it unusually at the time had handpumps installed for Greenall Whitley Mild and Bitter. A social was held here on February 6th 1983. By November 1983 the new Greenall Whitley Original Bitter was also on sale and another social was held here on March 25th 1984 and later on September 1984 a pub crawl called here. By February 1985 the Original Bitter had gone leaving just the Mild and Bitter. In March 1988 an American Style refurbishment was planned which included renaming the pub Easy Street. When visited in March 2002 it was selling Tetley Bitter and Timothy Taylors Landlord. Now reopened as Ewe Restaurant on 18/11/22
