Historic Interest

Delicensed on 05/11/09 but closed somewhat earlier. Landlady and owner (?) Susan Ryan.In November 1978 it was one of the first pubs to start selling Whitbreads Special Cask By June 1981 it was to start selling Duttons Bitter (H) but only in the evenings! By June 1985 Duttons was no longer available and the pub was keg only. By earley 1987 the pub was renamed Astleys and went through various phases as a nightclub, but then became unused and a boarded up eyesore. A new Premises Licence applied and granted September 2021 for use in the Cafe/restaurant.
