Historic Interest

Delicensed on 21/12/06 but closed earlier in the year, Landlord Mr Antony Gough Aston, owner ESG(Licensing) Co (part of Alan Bowes group). Tetleys Warrington Ale was introduced here in late 1979 and was still on the bar in May 1981, but disappeared soon after. The pub was not listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as it only sold keg beer. The pub has proved popular with photograpers because of its distinctive shape.
