Historic Interest
In May 1981 this was a Greenall Whitley pub selling Mild and Bitter. In January 1983 it was pub swapped with Thwaites and sold their handpumped Mild and Bitter. Branch Meetings were held here on August 10th 1983 and September 5th 1984. It was listed in the 1985 selective Greater Manchester Beer Guide. In August 1986 it was selling Thwaites Mild (70p) and Bitter (72p). It was listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as selling Thwaites Mild and Bitter (H). A Branch Meeting was held here on April 4th 1989. In 1991 it featured in the Good Beer Guide, but by November 1991 it was a Websters Free House and by August 1992 it was selling Holts Bitter at 92p. It was noted in 2010 that it was no longer selling cask beer.
