Historic Interest
In late 1978 it was reported as selling Greenall Whitley 'Bright Beer' but by May 1981 it was a Greenall Whitley pub selling Mild and Bitter (E). By 1985 it was also selling Greenall Whitley Original, it was also listed in the selective Greater Manchester Beer Guide. In 1986 Mild was 69p, Bitter 72p and Original 75p. The pub was visited on a pub crawl of Kearsley on October 21st 1993. In 1999 the Mild had gone and so had the Original, but draught Bass had replaced it at ÂŁ1.65. For Sale signs appeared in 2004, but it was still open and selling the Greenall Whitley Bitter and now joined by John Smiths Bitter. On 19/04/84 the Greenall Whitley Mild was 62p.
