This Pub is Closed Long Term
This building dates from the 1860s, older than most of the surrounding properties, and was once the waiting room for the adjacent Chiswick station. Large, with distinct front and back areas. An Edwardian feel with leather sofas and wooden tables in the informal area, and a more distinct dining area at rear.
Jan 2024: a large sign saying "Pub to Let" has appeared.
Statement seen on pub's Facebook page: "The pub has had to close its doors in March 2023 to facilitate the redevelopment of the upstairs accommodation into luxury flats. The pub will eventually re-open. What it will look like and whether we are involved remains to be seen."
