Comfortable 17th century coaching inn which re-opened in 2014 as a free house offering a good choice of cask beers. A split-level bar provides inviting corners for drinking and conversation. Home-cooked food is served daily in the bar and restaurant, with the kitchen using locally sourced seasonal produce where possible. There are five luxury bedrooms upstairs. The restaurant is available to hire for private events.
