A Wetherspoons pub offering four real ales from the standard 'Spoons range plus four or five changing ales, mostly from smaller breweries, all at the usual bargain prices. Set over two floors, you can find some quieter areas especially in the smaller upstairs bar. Outside is a sheltered and heated smoking and no smoking courtyard. Joseph Bramah was a locally-born engineer whose inventions included the hand pump.
