The same family had run this hotel for 35 years and is a former coaching inn dating back to the mid 1800's and is situated near junction 22 of the A55 has a separate front bar, restaurant and lounge. The large function room to one side of the building has a stage and another bar area which is occasionally used.

Acquired and reopened in September 2021 by Stonegate Group. A large decking area was constructed over what used to be the front car park in early 2022.
