Located on the A6 between Derby and Belper, this stone-built Georgian inn is dramatically situated at the foot of sandstone cliffs close to the river bridge. A wood-burning stove adds to the ambiance of the cosy interior. Original period furniture and quarry tiled flooring date from the time the pub was built. Ales may be viewed on Real Ale Finder and regular live music is an added attraction. Bar snacks are available including pies, cobs, quiche, mezze and cheese board with vegetarian options. On Fridays & Saturdays breakfasts are served 0900-1130 and lunches 1200-1500. On Sundays hot meat cobs are served 1200-1500.
