Small, highly traditional town-centre pub, as many as six real ales on. Front bar-room leads to two further rooms, one with an upright piano and the rear room has darts and can be closed off for small meetings.
Marston's portfolio of beers, from which the landlord selects the widest possible choice and is also allowed one free choice guest ale, served at weekends, always from a local or rare brewery.
Has a good selection of malt whiskies and holds 3-4 tutored tastings per year.
