Over the course of the festival, CAMRA will be issuing several announcements, feature stories and relating to the beer and pub industry. Attending the trade session allows you on-the-ground access to interview CAMRA spokespeople, brewers, pub owners and other trade professionals about these headline stories.
A media pass grants you free access to the festival and our press room where you are invited to work on stories and interview CAMRA representatives. We are working on a fantastic schedule of events to run during this year’s trade session with more information to be revealed over the coming months.
Highlight: A behind the scenes look at the World’s Greatest Beers!
CAMRA Books will be releasing
World’s Greatest Beers on International Beer Day (5 August). Compiled by award-winning writers and featuring 250 great beers, media representatives are invited to sample some of the featured beers from the book live at the festival with some of the authors explaining why they made the cut on a special afternoon tour. NEW THIS YEAR: CAMRA launches a homebrew competition
New to this year will be the launch of the very first CAMRA homebrew competition, which will see entries from across 11 different CAMRA approved beer styles, alongside a special category for homebrewers to try their hand at the “Thank Brew” recipe developed by Fergus Fitzgerald of Adnams to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June, which CAMRA has support as part of its
Summer of Pub campaign.
Representatives from Thank Brew and Together Coalition will be attending the event to raise a glass to the Campaign and share information on money raised and pints poured over the Jubilee Weekend. To find out more about the initiative, visit:

Please note: Unfortunately, this year will not see the announcement of the Champion Beer of Britain winner as per usual. This is due to COVID-19 restrictions which saw the closure of most beer festivals last year, where we usually run the regional Champion Beer of Britain judging sessions. The competition will resume as usual in 2023.
