Pub of the Year archives - 1989

CAMRA’s Pub of the Year is the annual competition to find the very best in the UK. The award is the highest honour the organisation can give a pub, running since 1988, it showcases the top places to enjoy a great pint of cask beer with great atmosphere.  The Boars Head in Kinmuck was crowned the first winner of the prize in 1988 (see here) and continuing the journey into the Pub of the Year archives, the Cap and Feathers in Tillingham became the award’s second recipient in 1989.   Unlike the Boars Head, the Cap and Feathers is still very much a pub, and since winning the award has had a history of CAMRA recognition.
