Macclesfield & East Cheshire Branch Autumn Pub of the Season

The Snowgoose cafe-bar on Sunderland Street in Macclesfield has been selected to be our Autumn 2024 Pub of the Season. This comfortable cafe-bar has been open since 2011 with only a break for covid. Some thought it would not come back, but it has, with essentially the same cosy feel but some of the Alpine stuff has been toned down. The place is surprisingly spacious over two floors and even a small garden at the back. There are frequent exhibitions of work by local artists and occasional music events. There is a portrait sketching group that meets at there every Wednesday.

The bar is excellently run buy Louise and her team and beer-wise cask Storm Bosley Cloud almost always features on the bar, brewed only a few minutes walk away. The other local brewery to feature on the bar is a changing beer from Wincle. Other than beer the bar has Treacle Town Pies available. They are able to cater for parties an other events.
