The 254 bus leaves Cleckheaton at 18:35 (and 19:42), arriving by the Halfway House around 12 minutes later. It takes around 8 minutes’ walk between the two pubs, then another 2 minutes to the Golden Fleece. From there, a 5 minute walk towards Leeds takes you to Birkenshaw Lane, where to the right and across the road you find the bus stop for the return 283A to Birstall-Batley-Dewsbury, leaving roughly xx45 up to 22:45. The return bus to Cleckheaton is the 254 at 22:25 and 23:25.
